Location: South East England

Contract Type: Permanent

A Commercial Infrastructure Solicitor is required to join a major organisation based in the South East on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will join an established in-house legal team and handle a range of nationally significant work.

The role offers flexible working arrangements, with the requirement to attend the office in the South East at least once a week.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in managing and negotiating Private Finance Initiative (PFI) contracts, including performance monitoring, risk assessment, and stakeholder liaison across public and private sectors.

Strong knowledge of PFI contract lifecycle management, especially contract handback, asset condition assessment, and legal and financial compliance, is essential.

Experience in construction law or public procurement is advantageous but not mandatory.

Responsibilities include:

1. Advising on engineering and construction matters related to infrastructure projects in collaboration with the legal team and business units
2. Managing the lifecycle of PFI contracts
3. Drafting, negotiating, and finalizing complex commercial contracts
4. Providing guidance on procurement regulations and policies
5. Handling legal matters, both contentious and non-contentious
