Job Description:

Zanda is an Executive search partner that works exclusively with high growth start-ups as they look to scale their business with senior talent. Zanda partners with VC’s, Founders, CEO’s and CFO’s when it comes to successfully delivering on key senior appointments.

Who’s the business: Zanda is partnering with a rapidly growing D2C Ecommerce business based in London, that has recently secured Series A funding. Having experienced significant growth, the Founders are looking to hire their first Commercial Head of Finance.

As Commercial Head of Finance, you will be reporting to the Founders and CEO and play a critical role in shaping and driving the business financial strategy and will be hugely influential in the future success and growth of the company. The team are in the office 5 days a week in Central London.

What experiences you will gain:

1. Partnering with the executive team to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with business goals
2. Producing financial analysis to support strategic decision making and investment opportunities
3. Actively monitoring financial performance, building and continually improving the models and forecasting revenue and expenses
4. Monitoring and analysing budget variances, identifying cost saving initiatives and providing actionable recommendations to improve financial performance driving efficiency
5. Collaborating with the Heads of Departments to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts
6. Collaborating with key stakeholders to formulate a strong business strategy and manage relationships with the investors, banks and advisors
7. Providing regular financial reports, analysis and insights to Senior Management and Investors and preparing and presenting the financial reports to the Board
8. Leading and participating in investor meetings to support fundraising and business expansion
9. Managing the tech stack and identifying ways to enhance financial processes

What background should you have before you press apply:

1. Experience within a high growth, VC backed start up
2. Tech background desirable, ideally D2C or ecommerce
3. Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
4. Strong analytical skills and strategic mindset and able to thrive in a fast paced environment
5. Ability to provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management
