Job summary

Metro Rod Bristol is seeking a Business Development Executive to grow our drainage and plumbing services across Bristol and surrounding areas. You will work with the office and engineering teams to understand client needs, explain solutions, and move opportunities from first contact to secured work.

Qualifications

• Experience in drainage or plumbing context, supporting engineers, coordinating jobs or handling quotations.
• Strong relationship-building and customer-facing skills.
• Comfort with using computer systems and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Identifying and approaching potential customers, including facilities managers and local businesses.
• Building relationships with existing customers and identifying opportunities to provide additional services.
• Speaking with customers about their plumbing and drainage requirements and arranging meetings or site visits where appropriate.
• Working with our operational team to prepare accurate quotations and service proposals.
• Following up quotations, answering questions and converting enquiries into confirmed work.
• Promoting our reactive services, planned maintenance and repair capabilities.
• Keeping customer records, sales activity and opportunities up to date.
• Working towards agreed sales targets while delivering a professional customer experience.
