Job description

Commercial Gas / HVAC Engineer

Salary: £52,000 per annum (inclusive of standby) plus paid travel time, overtime, call out, 33 days holiday, pension, and excellent benefits – including private healthcare and life insurance.

Hours: 45 hours per week – Monday to Friday.

Standby / Call Out: 1 in 4.

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Gas / HVAC Engineer to join one of the country's leading facilities management companies, working in the Watford and surrounding areas.

The role involves traveling around the North London region to service, maintain, and repair a range of commercial heating systems, as well as some air conditioning and other associated HVAC plant.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance across multiple sites.
2. Acting as the first line in all maintenance tasks at your allocated sites.
3. Ensuring all technical and compliance paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
4. Servicing and repairing mechanical equipment such as boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, FCUs, etc.
5. Practicing safe working procedures, particularly with 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems.
6. Conducting surveys and preparing reports as required by management.

Qualifications / Experience:

Essential: ACS Gas qualifications – COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1, TPCP1A.

The ideal candidate:

• Has experience in a similar mobile role traveling around the region from home.
• Can effectively communicate with customers and on-site management teams.
• Is capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Possesses a hands-on, flexible, and proactive approach to work.
• Holds a full driving license, as this is a mobile role.
