Job summary

Energy Jobline ATTB seeks an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to service, install and maintain gas heating systems across London and home counties. The role involves on-call duties and ensuring compliance with Gas Safety regulations.

Applicants should hold valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1 and related modules) and have a proven track record in commercial servicing and breakdown repairs. A full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid commercial gas qualifications.
• Must hold COCN1 and applicable appliance modules.
• Experience in servicing, installations and breakdowns.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of gas safety legislation and safe working practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to complete accurate job reports.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance on commercial and domestic gas heating systems.
• Diagnose and repair faults, responding to breakdowns and restoring systems.
• Install, commission and test commercial heating systems, boilers and associated equipment.
• Maintain maintenance across government buildings, schools and residential properties.
• Complete gas safety checks, inspections and relevant certification.
• Ensure compliance with Gas Safety Regulations and health and safety legislation.
• Maintain accurate records of work, including service reports and certification.
• Ensure work areas are left clean, safe and compliant.
• Identify additional remedial works and report issues for further attention.
• Participate in on-call or emergency breakdown rota when required.
