Job Role: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: HMP Littlehey- Crow Spinney Lane, West Perry PE280SR

Salary: £43,177.30

Contract: Full time/Permanent

Responsibilities

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you will work alongside experienced colleagues across the Facilities Maintenance Team to provide a safe and secure environment for prisoners, staff, and visitors. You will contribute to the smooth and safe operation of HMP Littlehey, supporting rehabilitation and positive change.

Qualifications
  • Two years experience working as a heating engineer, combustion engineer or equivalent.
  • Familiar with and able to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements.
  • Familiar with and able to work to Gas Safe (installation and use) regulations 1998 and associated industry standards.
  • Experience working with commercial catering gas appliances would be beneficial.
  • Plumber qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
  • CCN1 – Core domestic gas safety and relevant domestic appliance units.
  • COCN1 – Core commercial gas safety certificate and relevant commercial units.
  • Good health & safety knowledge.
  • Excellent organisational, time‑management and people skills.
