Role: Commercial Gas Engineer

Basic Salary: GBP41,000 up to GBP44,000 / 40hr working week / 34 days holiday / Travel paid after 30mins each side / Enhanced pension / 1 in 7 on call / Healthcare / Life assurance / Van / Fuel card / Tools / Uniform

We currently generate a turnover of 2 billion pounds per year in the UK alone and employ around 9,000 staff across England, Scotland, and Wales. We pride ourselves on long-standing client relationships and offer reactive callout services and planned maintenance tailored to client needs.

Our contracts include retailers and council buildings.

We are now looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to work mainly across our retail sites. Flexibility is required as some PPM work may be carried out during the night. We aim to keep our engineers within 1.5 to 2 hours of home each day.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance, repair, and breakdown of all commercial heating equipment
2. Meeting clients in the field – a customer-facing role

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

1. Commercial gas qualifications (e.g., CDGA1, CIGA1, CORT1, COCN1, TPCP1A, TPCP1, CoNGLP1PD)
2. OFTEC, LPG, or FGAS qualification is advantageous
3. Full Driver’s Licence

Package:

1. Basic salary up to GBP44,000 (potentially GBP42K for the right candidate), reviewed annually
2. 40 hours per week, 8 am to 5 pm, with 1-hour lunch
3. Travel paid after 30 minutes each way
4. On-call rota 1 in 7, GBP125 standby, minimum 4 hours paid
5. Overtime paid after 42 hours
6. 26 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
7. Enhanced pension, life assurance, private healthcare
8. Van and fuel card
9. Tools, uniform, smartphone
