Qualifications

  • Accreditations in OFTEC are advantageous.
  • City & Guilds or NVQ qualifications preferred.
  • Recognized health and safety training required.
  • DBS/police check may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct maintenance and repairs on heating & hot water systems.
  • Undertake minor HVAC installations and fault-finding.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on gas appliances.
  • Diagnose faults in heating systems and carry out repairs.
  • Respond promptly to emergency gas leaks.

Skills

Gas Certifications: CCN1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1
OFTEC accreditation
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical discipline

Overview

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer – Covering Stevenage and surrounding areas. Company Vehicle Provided. 24 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays. GBP50,000 - GBP55,000 Negotiable DOE.


Are you a qualified Gas Engineer with a commercial qualification looking for a new opportunity?


In this role, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of commercial sites across Stevenage and the surrounding areas.


As a Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our clients sites, while helping to maintain and improve building services to the highest standards.


Responsibilities


  • Conducting breakdown, service, and maintenance works on a diverse range of commercial and domestic heating & hot water generating systems.

  • Undertaking minor installations of HVAC systems, fault-finding, and carrying out remedial works.

  • Performing planned preventative maintenance on an assortment of gas appliances, heating systems, and hot/cold water systems.

  • Diagnosing faults in gas boilers, heating systems, hot/cold water systems, and executing necessary remedial repairs.

  • Responding to emergency gas leaks promptly and ensuring safety measures are implemented as required.


Skills & Experience


  • Essential Gas Certifications: CCN1, CENWAT, COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, CIGA1, CDGA1, CORT1, TPCP1a.

  • OFTEC accreditation (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E, OFT10-600a) would be advantageous, though not essential.

  • City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2/3 in a relevant Mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Recognized Health & Safety training.

  • Ability to pass DBS/Police background checks for access to sensitive sites (possibly a future requirement).
