Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial gas systems and appliances in a range of environments. You will ensure all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with current regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, and repair commercial gas appliances and systems (e.g. boilers, heaters, pipework)
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
  • Perform safety checks and inspections in line with Gas Safe regulations
  • Maintain accurate records of work carried out, including job sheets and service reports (PDA supplied)
  • Identify materials and parts required to carry out repairs to the set company standard
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies and the Gas Safety regulations
  • Provide technical support and advice to clients and colleagues when required
  • Maintain a clean and well stocked company vehicle and always wear the correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations
  • Keep your allocated company vehicle clean and tidy at all times, always wear the correct uniform and dispose of any waste to company/HSE regulations
  • Participate in on-call rotas and attend emergency callouts if applicable

Skills & Experience

  • Valid Gas Safe Registration and Commercial Gas Qualifications (COCN1 or CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or TPCP1)
  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing and Heating or equivalent (desirable)
  • Proven experience as a commercial gas engineer in a similar role
  • Strong knowledge of heating systems, pipework, and controls
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities
