Job description
Overview

About the role: We're seeking an experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to join our team! This role is primarily focused on commercial gas systems, with HVAC experience considered an advantage but not essential. You'll be responsible for maintaining and servicing commercial gas plant and equipment across a range of sites, ensuring safety and efficiency at all times.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance, inspections, and servicing of commercial gas appliances and plant rooms
  • Perform commercial gas burner servicing and small works projects (e.g., boiler plant replacement)
  • Complete mechanical remedial works across a variety of sites including NHS and MOD contracts across the South of England (Portsmouth, Southampton, Chichester, and Hampshire areas)
  • Conduct gas safety checks and provide certification
  • Work collaboratively with technical managers and other maintenance staff to ensure smooth operations
  • Maintain accurate records of all work completed
Requirements
  • Gas Safe registered
  • Relevant commercial gas qualifications (e.g., ACS, City & Guilds)
  • Strong knowledge of commercial gas systems and safety regulations
  • HVAC experience is preferred but not essential (training and support available)
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driving license
