We are recruiting for a Commercial Gas Engineer to provide maintenance and small works services to commercial and industrial facilities across the North of England within a well-respected and established Building Services company. The role is a permanent position paying up to £44k basic, with an annual bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, sick pay scheme, pension with 6% company contribution, death in service (x3 salary), company vehicle and fuel card (personal use allowed). Additional benefits include tax-free overnight allowance (£26), inconvenience payment (£50), overtime, door-to-door payments, OT paid at premium rates, travel time paid at respective OT rates, and on-call payment (£250 for approximately 40 hours per week with flexible start/finish times).
Gas Engineer Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be a key member of the mobile engineering team, working independently or as part of a team. You will undergo continual training to meet health and safety standards and support your development. Your work will involve servicing, fault finding, repairs, and installations of various gas burners (forced draught/package and atmospheric on indirect and direct appliances), gas pipework, and related gas equipment/controls.
Requirements:
ACS qualifications across gas commercial and industrial equipment, applications, and installations such as COCN1 or CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, CIGA1, CDGA1 & CORT1.
Nice to Have:
ACS qualification in LPG, ComCat 1 & 3, BMP1, TPCP1/A, CPA1, CCN1, CENWAT & HTR1.
IPAF & PASMA certifications.
Electrical qualifications.
Experience in the industrial sector, including mechanical, electrical, or pipework installations.
