They are looking to recruit a Commercial Gas Engineer responsible for the maintenance and repair of gas appliances and systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in using various tools and equipment across different sectors. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality, ensuring all work complies with relevant regulations and standards.

Duties

1. Install, maintain, and repair gas heating and plumbing systems, particularly in the healthcare sector.
2. Conduct regular inspections to ensure the safe operation of gas systems.
3. Diagnose faults in gas appliances and carry out necessary repairs.
4. Assemble components for various projects.
5. Complete all work-related documentation accurately and on time, exceeding customer expectations.
6. Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete installations efficiently.
7. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
8. Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations.
9. Be prepared to work away from home during Monday to Thursday periods.

Candidate Requirements

• Relevant qualifications such as COCN1, MET1, CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, UVHW.
• OFTEC & LPG qualifications are essential.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working in occupied premises.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Customer-focused approach.
