A well-established building services contractor is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer for a position encompassing installation, servicing, and maintenance of commercial gas systems across various sites. Location: Birmingham / M1 Corridor
Pay Range/details: £40,000 per annum + overtime
Contract Type: Permanent
Omega are supporting well-established building services contractor in Wakefield in their search for a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer. This door-to-door role will install, service, maintain, and repair commercial gas systems and appliances across a variety of sites.
Key Responsibilities – Commercial Gas Engineer
Carry out installation, servicing, and breakdown repairs on commercial gas appliances and systems (e.g., boilers, heaters, burners, pipework).
Diagnose faults, carry out testing and commissioning of gas systems, and complete remedial works as required.
Ensure all work is compliant with current gas safety regulations and industry standards.
Conduct routine PPM (planned preventative maintenance) and reactive maintenance tasks on commercial premises.
Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and schematics.
Complete job reports, gas safety certificates, and service documentation accurately.
Work closely with other engineers, site managers, and subcontractors to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.
Adhere to all company health & safety procedures and maintain high standards of workmanship.
Qualifications & Requirements – Commercial Gas Engineer
Current and valid Commercial Gas Qualifications.
Proven experience working as a Commercial Gas Engineer.
Valid CSCS card or equivalent.
Full UK driving licence.
Strong understanding of gas safety regulations, installation standards, and industry best practices.
NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical Engineering / Plumbing & Heating.
