Job summary

Lovats is seeking an experienced Heating/Gas Engineer to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across commercial properties in Central Belt Scotland (Edinburgh, Fife and surrounding areas). The role includes minor installation works, on-call duties, and liaison with clients and internal teams.

You will hold ACS Commercial Gas qualifications and Gas Safe registration, with full UK driving licence, to service boilers and related equipment in schools, healthcare sites, offices and retail

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial heating systems
• Diagnose faults and repair heating plant and equipment
• Service boilers, water heaters and associated controls
• Respond to breakdowns and emergency call-outs
• Complete minor installation and replacement works
• Carry out system checks, combustion analysis and performance testing
• Identify and report remedial works
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with regulations
• Liaise with clients and internal teams
• Participate in on-call rota

Role: Heating / Gas Engineer

Location: Central Belt Scotland (Edinburgh, Fife and surrounding areas)

Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday (37 hours, early finish Friday), plus on-call rota

Reporting to: Engineering Supervisor / Account Manager

About the Role

An experienced Heating / Gas Engineer is required to deliver planned and reactive maintenance, as well as minor installation works, across a range of commercial properties including schools, healthcare sites, offices, retail and public buildings.
