Acorn Engineering Limited seeks an experienced Mobile Commercial Boiler Engineer to join our management team, delivering servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial boiler and combustion systems across London and the South East. This mobile role suits a proactive engineer who can work independently, manage workload, and represent the business professionally at client sites.

You will ensure Gas Safe compliance, uphold safety standards, and contribute to ongoing training and development

Qualifications

Extensive experience with commercial boiler systems and maintenance.
Proven Gas Safe compliance experience.
Strong understanding of HVAC and building services environments.
Commitment to health and safety in mobile engineering

Responsibilities

Service, maintain, and repair commercial boilers across client sites
Perform planned preventative maintenance and reactive work per Gas Safe regs
Diagnose faults and perform performance testing
Ensure health and safety compliance and safe working practices
Prepare reports and certification documentation
Coordinate with contracts managers and helpdesk
Interact professionally with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Participate in out-of-hours call-out rota
Maintain tools and certification to required standards

Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Croydon

Salary: Negotiable, dependent on experience

Hours: 41.25 per week

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Commercial Boiler Engineer to join our growing management team, delivering high-quality servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial boiler and combustion systems across London and the South East.

This is a mobile role suited to a proactive, technically competent engineer who can work independently, manage their own workload, and represent the business professionally across client sites. You will play a key role in maintaining Gas Safe compliance and ensuring all works meet current legislative and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out commercial boiler and combustion servicing, maintenance, and repairs across multiple client sites
Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works in line with Gas Safe regulations and company standards
Diagnose faults, undertake performance testing, and recommend remedial actions
Ensure all works comply with Health & Safety requirements and safe systems of work
Complete accurate job reports and certification documentation
Liaise with Contracts Managers, the helpdesk, and administrative teams to ensure smooth job delivery
Communicate professionally with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required
Maintain tools, test equipment, and certification to required standards
