RGB in London is seeking a permanent Commercial Gas Engineer to service, maintain and repair commercial gas boilers and plant room equipment across residential developments and energy centres. You will perform fault-finding, diagnostics, and repairs, ensuring all work complies with gas safety regulations and health and safety standards.

The role offers a 37-hour week, Monday–Friday, with a competitive salary of £55,000–£58,000 and a company van.

This permanent Commercial Gas Engineer position with RGB in the City Of London offers a salary of £55,000 to £58,000 per annum. Working Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm on a 37-hour week, the successful candidate joins an engineering consultancy recognised for sustainability and energy efficiency.

Responsibilities cover installation, servicing, maintenance and optimisation of commercial heating systems across residential developments, plant rooms, energy centres and eco-villages. Applicants should hold relevant commercial gas qualifications and demonstrate competence in fault-finding, servicing and repair of heating plant. Strong technical knowledge, adherence to safety regulations and clear communication skills are essential for this varied, client-facing role within a growing London team.

The Role

As a Commercial Gas Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, and repairing commercial gas appliances and heating systems across a range of commercial and residential sites in London. You’ll work on boilers, plant room equipment, and associated heating systems, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with current regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer working on commercial heating systems.
• Valid commercial gas qualifications (COCN1, CODNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1/1A or equivalent).
• Experience servicing and repairing commercial boilers and plant room equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of communal heating and district heating systems is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
