Job description

A Commercial Gas Engineer / Commercial Heating Engineer is required for a well-established M&E Contractor provider based within the South West with over 25 years of history. Currently holding long-standing contracts with educational, healthcare, care homes, and various Commercial sites.

The company is seeking a skilled engineer to carry out a variety of tasks, primarily focused on the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial heating systems and plant rooms. Work will be carried out across a mix of commercial properties.

The role has come about due to expansion within the business and the recent acquisition of 2 local businesses to join the company portfolio.

A Commercial Gas Engineer is required to work between Somerset to Gloucester as a mobile engineer, carrying out a range of service and remedial works.

• Servicing, fault-finding, and repairs on commercial heating systems with a range of commercial clients between Somerset & Gloucester
• Work primarily within plant rooms, ensuring the maintenance and operation of commercial gas appliances, heating systems, and associated equipment
• Routine mechanical maintenance of key plant items, including pumps, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, and valves
• Diagnosing issues and providing solutions to ensure efficient operation and compliance with industry standards
• Commercial Gas Qualifications, including CODNC01 / COCN1
• Experience in either service and repair, or installation of commercial appliances and plant rooms
• Beneficial to hold additional tickets such as Comcat, Oil, or LPG
• 3-5 years' experience working on commercial gas boilers/heating systems
• Full UK Driving Licence

Commercial Gas Engineer Salary & Benefits

• £45k based on 40-hour week
• Company Van with fuel card - personal use can be discussed
• 25 days holiday plus bank holiday - rising by 1 day per year to max of 30 days

• Travel pay after 30 mins each way
