Job summary

Hemiko is recruiting a Breakdown Engineer (Commercial Gas) to join the Operations Department. You will work under the Technical Manager, delivering maintenance and repair on a fleet of heat networks with a focus on commercial gas boilers.

The role requires 2 years of relevant experience, a valid commercial gas certificate, and the ability to fault-find and replace parts. A willingness to grow within a fast‑growing low carbon energy company is essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as Commercial Gas Engineer or similar.
• Commercial gas registration and BMP1/TPCP1 training.
• NVQ Level 3 in Gas.
• Knowledge of HIU repairs.
• Experience with boilers by Hoval, Hamworthy, Ideal, Buderus.

Responsibilities

• Work under the direct supervision of the Technical Manager.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance on commercial gas boilers, pumps, actuators, plate heat exchangers, etc.
• Repair and reinstate commercial plant and equipment.
• Fault find and repair of commercial gas boilers and ancillary equipment.
• Attend reactive call-outs and on-call rota as required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
