Job summary

Elevation Recruitment Group is supporting a growing business in Greater Manchester to appoint a Commercial FP&A Analyst into the finance team. The role focuses on using financial and operational data to understand performance, identify trends and support commercial decision-making beyond traditional reporting.

You will work with the FP&A Manager and wider teams, using Excel to analyse large datasets, present findings to both finance and non-finance stakeholders, and contribute to budgeting,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years' relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or data-heavy finance.
• Analytical and commercially minded with the ability to translate data into insight.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and opportunities.
• Collaborate with non-finance stakeholders to understand performance and provide insight.
• Use Excel to analyse large datasets and produce meaningful commercial analysis.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and FP&A activity.
• Investigate variances and understand key drivers behind performance.
• Present findings to finance and non-finance stakeholders clearly.
• Work with stakeholders to identify business challenges and data-driven solutions.
• Support the FP&A Manager with ad-hoc analysis and projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and data usage.
