Job Title: Commercial Financial Planning Analyst (FP&A) – Business Partnering & Analysis

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

This role provides financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business performance and growth. You will act as a trusted Finance Business Partner to senior management, delivering strategic financial insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead month-end reporting and analysis for operational leaders, ensuring timely and accurate results.
• Analyze financial results to highlight key variances and provide insights.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to monitor and improve site financial performance.
• Ensure financial KPIs are accurately reported and trends are highlighted.
• Communicate performance effectively and foster accountability.
• Maintain the month-end query tracker for prompt responses.
• Review and improve reporting processes and analysis.
• Work with the Business Intelligence team on automation and reporting tools.

Budget and Forecast:

• Lead the budgeting process, ensuring strategic alignment and timely analysis.
• Support other finance partners in budgeting activities.
• Maintain consistent financial models and KPIs.
• Assist in implementing automation for reporting and budgeting.

Stakeholder Management:

• Build relationships with senior leaders and operational teams.
• Respond to queries and provide financial training as needed.
• Promote a positive and collaborative finance culture.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

Essential:

• Studying towards or completed a relevant accounting qualification (CIMA / ACCA / ACA).
• Advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and analysis.
• Proven ability to influence financial outcomes and work with operational managers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to present complex data visually to senior stakeholders.
• Relevant management accounting experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
• Experience with Access Dimensions and Power BI is advantageous but not essential.
