Commercial Financial Controller

We are ideally looking for someone who is immediately available to take on this exciting challenge with a forward-thinking tech company based in London Docklands. Reporting to the MD, you will be pivotal in driving the business forward and taking them on their expansion journey. Turnover is currently £20m and they are growing by acquisition and organically over the next 2 years to take them to £40m.

Responsibilities of the Commercial Finance Manager role:

• Lead, direct and manage the financial operations of the group
• Oversee all the month-end procedures, control accounts, balance sheet, bank reconciliations and journals
• Produce detailed monthly management accounts, drilling down into the budgets, investigating any variances
• Work closely with the Sales and Operations Senior Management, reviewing costs, analysing contracts, investigating profit margins
• Present monthly management accounts to the Board, including any risks
• Financial planning and analysis, financial reporting, manipulating data and highlighting potential threats
• Liaise with suppliers to reduce costs
• Liaise with the HMRC
• Manage monthly VAT and corporate tax
• Provide direction to the Board, creating a 5-year business plan in line with the Board and the Investor's expectations

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a proven track record in a fast-paced growing SME
• Advanced Excel skills, including Vlookups, Xlookups and pivots
• Highly systems literate, ideally with the implementation of an ERP system
• First-rate communication skills, with the gravitas to present to a Board
• Ambitious and driven to develop this role into a Finance Director
