Commercial Finance Manager

Reporting To: Group Commercial Finance Director

Description
Reporting to the Group Commercial Finance Director, the Commercial Finance Manager will lead the development and delivery of analysis, forecasting, planning and budgeting for Group Finance. This role will have ownership of key financial reports with responsibility for analysis and reporting to the c-suite and investors, and involvement in consolidating and challenging financial results from the wider business divisions. Davies is a fast growing, acquisitive PE-backed firm, and there will be room to grow in this role, as well as having the ability to direct and be involved in actionable change within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the financial planning, analysis and reporting to c-suite and investors, consolidating and challenging financial results from the wider business divisions.
  • Creating and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual board packs, including financial analysis and commentary.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis for c-suite, investors and lenders.
  • Managing the budget and reforecast process.
  • Identify potential areas for cost reductions and efficiency improvements.
  • Involvement in wider functional change initiatives.
  • Liaise and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across the organisation.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Qualified Accountant - CA, CPA, MBA, AAT, ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CIPFA.
  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, Corporate Finance or similar practice.
  • Good communication skills including presenting complex finance information to Executive Leadership and non-finance management.
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including proficiency in financial modelling.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Hardworking, proactive, curious, adaptable.
  • Excellent time management including meeting deadlines.
