Job summary

Wade Macdonald is seeking a Commercial Finance Manager / Controller for a hybrid role in Slough. You will lead the lease team, support commercial and financial decision-making, and produce MI and dashboards. You report to the Regional Director and oversee a multi-site operation with complex equipment leasing and distribution finance.

Key tasks include budgeting, performance analysis, and developing management information systems to improve profitability across the division.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with CIMA/ACCA/ACA designation is required.
• Experience in project management and delivering to deadlines.
• Strong communication and presentation skills essential.
• Background in accounting, statistical analysis and financial planning.
• PowerBI experience is advantageous for reporting.
• Experience in capital equipment leasing or distribution is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support, inform and advise on commercial and financial aspects of leased capital and warehouse equipment.
• Monitor, control and report divisional financial accounts and fleet data.
• Ensure accuracy and proper allocation of financial data within the division.
• Produce management information detailing financial performance across operating areas.
• Formulate budgets and performance targets with supporting calculations.
• Design and build management information systems to improve performance and profitability.
• Monitor external suppliers through KPIs and regular analyses.
• Build and present dashboards on PowerBI.
• Produce financial planning and analysis for the division.

I am recruiting a Commercial Finance Manager / Controller for a highly successful multi-site capital equipment client.

• Reports directly to the Regional Director
• Manages the lease team with two direct reports.
• Provides support, information, and advice on all commercial and financial aspects of the leased capital & warehouse equipment.
• Monitors, controls, and reports on divisional financial accounts and a substantial fleet of equipment.
• Ensures that all financial data is accurate and allocated correctly within the division.
• Produces management information detailing the financial performance of all operating areas of the division
• Formulates performance targets and budgets, providing the supporting information and calculations necessary to demonstrate the results and highlight any inconsistencies.
• Designs and builds management information systems to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability.
• Monitors the performance of external suppliers through set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and regular analysis.
• Builds and presents dashboards on PowerBI.
• Produces and presents financial planning and analysis for the division.
