About the team and the role

Reporting to our Senior Finance Manager for Commercial Strategy, you will support the implementation of our Supplier Funding Transformation changes. This is an exciting time for our business, with the launch of new tools and initiatives across finance and media, and key changes to our reporting calendar. The role is pivotal in evolving our “Joint Business Plan” process, managing the rollout of these changes, and ensuring our buying teams have the right tools and reporting to support negotiations and achieve our targets.

What you’ll do

• Work with key stakeholders to revolutionise our JBP process, ensuring its suitability in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Lead the implementation of key projects across our Supplier Funding process for FY25, including new tools, reporting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure utilization of new processes and tools to strengthen financial controls, ensure correct income accounting, and maintain GSCOP compliance.
• Standardize documentation for negotiated contracts, ensuring consistency across all PODs and systems.
• Collaborate with data & insights teams to automate documents and reports for faster decision-making.
• Support sensitivity analysis and forecasting of JBPs, understanding changes in pricing, promotions, and mix.
• Assist Finance Business Partners with insightful data to evaluate buying plans and improve performance.
• Report accurately on JBP negotiations and analysis for senior leadership during monthly reviews.

Who you are

• Qualified accountant with strong academic background.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Strong Excel skills and highly numerate with an analytical mindset.
• Enthusiastic to learn and adapt.
• Experience in grocery retail/FMCG, especially supplier negotiations, is desirable but not essential.
• Proactive, organized, and able to build relationships internally and externally.
• Detail-oriented, quality-focused, and deadline-driven.
• Open to change and continuous improvement.
