Qualifications

  • Proven post qualifications experience required.
  • Experience of implementing new processes and procedures.
  • Desirable: Experience in the construction sector.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of the preparation and review of regional cash and P&L forecasts.
  • Preparation of management accounts and supporting commentary on a monthly basis.
  • Business Partner with Sales, Operations, and Commercial.

Skills

Proven track record in producing concise management information
Very strong knowledge of Excel
Ability to work on own initiative

Role Overview

In a Nutshell…

We have an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our team within Vistry West London, at our Ealing office. As our Commercial Finance Manager, you will report to the Finance Director and are responsible for the production of weekly, monthly, and annual management reports. This is a front-end role liaising closely with other departments to ensure timely and accurate information is presented to the local Board and Division.

More about the Commercial Finance Manager role…

  • Ownership of the preparation and review of the regional cash and P&L forecast on a monthly basis, including strategic planning & budget setting.
  • Preparation and review of short term cashflow forecasting over a 3-month period, working with other departments to help understand movements and drive cash efficiency.
  • Reviewing cost to completes and raising questions at the monthly project review meetings.
  • Review of key balance sheet reconciliations & challenge of assumptions regarding WIP unwind through reviews with the accounting function.
  • Work closely with the central finance function to ensure accuracy of accounting systems.
  • Preparation of management accounts and supporting commentary on a monthly basis.
  • Provide support to the Finance Director in production of monthly Board packs.
  • Monthly Joint Venture reporting both internally and to JV partners.
  • Business Partner with Sales, Operations and Commercial to drive performance of business.
  • Ensuring integrity of data on COINS and Anaplan.
  • Review Working Day 1 flash reports to FD and Division.
  • Challenging management and identifying areas for investigation.
  • Improving systems and procedures.
  • Preparation of schedules for statutory audit.
  • Work closely with the FD and MD in preparing ad-hoc management reports as required.
  • Liaise with and help lead reporting initiatives with the Finance Director.
