My client, one of the North West's fastest-growing, PE-backed businesses, are looking for a Commercial Finance Manager to join their buzzing Liverpool head office.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Commercial Finance Manager to join a forward-thinking organisation at their Liverpool headquarters. This pivotal role is designed for someone who thrives on connecting data insights with business strategy, working closely with teams across the company to drive performance and shape future growth.

You will be at the heart of financial decision-making, using your technical skills and commercial acumen to influence key initiatives and support the leadership team.

What you'll do:

  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly trading analysis to monitor business performance and identify emerging trends that inform strategic decisions.
  • Prepare comprehensive monthly KPI reports and contribute to the creation of detailed board presentations that highlight key financial metrics.
  • Develop analytical reports tailored to support decision-making processes across various departments, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and timely information.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and initiatives, leveraging data to guide strategy and optimise outcomes.
  • Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process by providing robust financial models and insightful variance analysis.
  • Offer ad hoc financial support as required, taking ownership of special projects that require both technical expertise and commercial understanding.
  • Manage ETL processes involving CRM systems, social media platforms, and cloud data solutions to ensure seamless data integration across the business.
  • Oversee database management tasks including troubleshooting issues, maintaining stored procedures, views, and table structures within MS SQL Server and Snowflake environments.
  • Handle API management responsibilities by ensuring reliable data flows between custom-built integrations and resolving any related challenges promptly.
  • Utilise advanced SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation while maintaining version control through GitHub.

What you bring:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) with proven commercial finance experience
  • Proven track record in business partnering by translating stakeholder needs into actionable insights that drive value creation across departments.
  • Ability to present complex analysis clearly to both technical audiences and non-specialists alike through effective communication skills.
  • Extensive collaboration with marketing teams to monitor performance metrics, evaluate campaign outcomes, and provide strategic direction based on thorough analysis.
  • Skilled in Tableau for building interactive dashboards as well as advanced Excel functions such as pivot tables, complex formulas, and comprehensive data analysis techniques.
  • Experience conducting month-end revenue reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Excel, Power BI, SQL, and other proven knowledge of complex technical systems
