Job summary

Advanced Electronics, part of the Halma group, is seeking a Commercial Finance Lead in Newcastle upon Tyne. You will drive data-led decision making by analysing revenue, margins, inventory and working capital, partnering with Sales, Product, Operations and Supply Chain.

You will forecast, budget, analyse pricing and contribute to strategic planning to improve profitability and cash generation.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA; FP&A, commercial finance or management accounting experience.
• Strong financial modelling and forecasting capability.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience analysing revenue, margin and cost performance.
• Analytical mindset with ability to turn data into insight.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Independent yet collaborative across teams.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Manufacturing/engineering/electronics industry experience.
• Experience of inventory, costing and working capital analysis.
• Power BI reporting and dashboard development.
• ERP system experience (Epicor).
• Experience supporting pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
• Knowledge of data modelling, Power Query, SQL or DAX.
• Experience in growing/private equity-backed environments.
• Interest in AI, automation and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Finance, Sales, Operations and Supply Chain to prepare budgets and forecasts.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Forecast revenue, gross margin, Opex and working capital with accuracy.
• Identify risks and opportunities via sensitivity analysis.
• Support annual budgets, reforecasts and long-range plans.
• Build reporting dashboards using Power BI, Excel and ERP systems.
• Provide pricing analysis to support profitability decisions.
• Participate in product costing, cost structure reviews and variances.
