Citadel Source is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a leading, listed business to recruit a Commercial Finance Lead – Bids and Tenders. The role is primarily remote and based in the UK. It involves leading the finance aspects of the division, supporting bid work, tenders, business cases, and partnering with senior leadership to drive growth.

About you

The successful candidate will be confident, personable, and skilled in financial partnership. They will relate complex financial data to senior management, lead commercial activities, and focus on continuous improvement to help the business win new opportunities.

The role

This position supports building the business's budgeting and forecasting processes, setting targets, identifying risks and opportunities, and tracking progress with the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team
• Building relationships at all levels
• Managing a team of twelve finance professionals
• Ensuring finance elements of bids meet requirements
• Leading financial analysis and modeling for bids
• Ensuring bid financial models comply with client standards
• Testing sensitivities and scenarios in bid models
• Developing funding approaches for bids
• Leading finance governance and approval processes
• Developing and owning the finance framework for bidding
• Supporting colleagues in bid inputs
• Collaborating with the Mobilisation team post-bid
• Promoting process improvements and best practices
