Citadel Source is pleased to be working exclusively with a leading, listed business to recruit a Commercial Finance Lead – Bids and Tenders. This role is primarily remote and based in the UK. It involves leading the finance aspects of the division, supporting the acquisition of new business through tenders, and partnering with senior management.

About you

The ideal candidate is confident, personable, with strong partnering skills, capable of relating complex financial information to senior leadership, and experienced in bid work, tenders, and business cases. A focus on continuous improvement and driving growth is essential.

The role

This position offers the opportunity to support the business in building a robust MI-driven approach, including budgeting, forecasting, risk identification, and tracking progress with the leadership team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team
• Building relationships across all levels of the business
• Managing a team of twelve finance professionals
• Overseeing finance elements of bids, ensuring compliance and quality
• Leading financial analysis and modeling for bids
• Testing sensitivities and scenarios to assess risks and opportunities
• Developing funding strategies for bids
• Leading finance governance and approval processes
• Developing and maintaining the finance framework for bidding
• Supporting Bid Finance Managers and liaising with mobilisation teams post-bid
• Driving process improvements and best practices
