Citadel Source is pleased to be working exclusively with a leading, listed company to recruit a Commercial Finance Lead – Bids and Tenders. This role is primarily remote and based in the UK. It involves leading the finance aspects of the division's bid and tender processes, and partnering with senior management to support business growth.

About you

The ideal candidate will be confident, personable, and skilled in financial partnering. You should be able to communicate complex financial data to senior leaders and lead initiatives in bid work, tenders, and business cases. A focus on continuous improvement and a drive to support business growth are essential.

The role

This position offers an opportunity to support the business in developing a robust MI-driven approach, building budgeting and forecasting processes, setting targets, and identifying risks and opportunities. You will work closely with the senior leadership team to track progress and ensure financial strategies align with business objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with the Senior Leadership Team
• Building relationships across all levels of the organization
• Managing a team of twelve finance professionals
• Overseeing finance elements of bids to ensure compliance and quality
• Leading financial analysts and modelers in bid processes
• Ensuring bid financial models meet client and internal requirements
• Testing sensitivities and scenarios to assess risks and opportunities
• Developing funding strategies for bids
• Leading finance governance and stakeholder briefings
• Developing and maintaining the finance framework for bidding
• Supporting and guiding colleagues involved in bids
• Collaborating with mobilization teams post-bid to review assumptions and risks
• Driving process improvements and best practices in financial governance
