From our care homes to our pioneering digital communication offering (via Smartbox), and our expanding global footprint including the UAE, we’re committed to empowering people to live fulfilling, independent lives.

We are now seeking an ambitious and experienced Divisional Finance Lead to join our dynamic Fostering Division and play a key role in shaping financial strategy, supporting operational delivery, and driving commercial performance.

Your Role:

As Divisional Finance Lead, you’ll support the Managing Director of Fostering and lead a skilled finance team based in Kent. You’ll ensure financial compliance, spearhead budgeting, drive insight-led reporting, and actively shape our fostering services through data-backed decision-making.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a purpose-driven organisation – one that truly changes lives – while growing your career in a fast-paced and rewarding environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a strategic finance partner to the Managing Director and Heads of Business Units within the Fostering Division.
  • Lead monthly reporting, budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis across the division.
  • Prepare monthly commentary and lead monthly financial reviews – focusing on Gross Profit and EBITDA.
  • Oversee pricing strategies, referral costings, and contract fee reviews.
  • Lead, develop, and support the divisional finance team responsible for foster parent payments and LA billing.
  • Partner with operations and accounts receivable to drive timely debt collection.
  • Review and approve payroll across the division.
  • Support the preparation of capital investment proposals and organic development plans.
  • Assist with financial due diligence and integration for acquisitions.
  • Provide insightful analysis into trends, performance drivers, and areas for improvement.
  • Promote financial literacy across the operational teams through guidance and training.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar multi-site finance role.
  • Proven success managing dispersed teams and delivering on deadlines.
  • Commercially savvy, with experience in stakeholder negotiations and strategic partnerships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence non-financial colleagues.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Experience within Health & Social Care, particularly Children’s Services.
  • Understanding of the fostering market and sector-specific financial considerations.

What You’ll Gain:

  • A strategic leadership role within a nationally recognised care provider.
  • The chance to shape the financial direction of an essential children’s service.
  • Career progression across the wider CareTech group.
  • The satisfaction of making a meaningful difference – every single day.
