Job summary

Rutherford Briant is recruiting a Financial Controller for a PE-backed specialist services business entering a new growth phase. You will work closely with the CFO to run the day-to-day finance function and play a key role in controls, reporting, and systems development.

The role combines strong financial control with commercial accountability, offering exposure to strategic decision-making and potential involvement in acquisitions.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant or equivalent experience.
• Experience managing a busy finance function.
• Strong in management reporting, cash flow, controls and statutory requirements.
• Commercially aware and confident working with operational leaders.
• Able to improve systems and processes within a changing business.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day finance function and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
• Strengthen controls, reporting, and systems across the growing group.
• Support integration of future acquisitions and provide insight for decision-making.
• Partner with CFO and senior leadership to drive commercial growth.
