We are a specialty vaccine company that develops, manufactures, and commercializes prophylactic vaccines for infectious diseases addressing unmet medical needs.

We have leveraged our expertise and capabilities both to commercialize three vaccines, including the world’s first and only chikungunya vaccine, and to rapidly advance a broad range of vaccine candidates into and through the clinic, including candidates against Lyme disease, Shigella and Zika.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a motivated Commercial Finance Business Partner (m/f/d)to join our team inVienna or in Livingston. In this role you are responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring operational and financial excellence within the Commercial division. You will work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and Commercial leadership to analyze business performance, challenge assumptions and drive data-driven decision-making.

  • Strategic Business Partnering & Planning: Partner with commercial teams to drive profitability, manage OPEX, and ensure alignment with business targets. Lead sales and margin forecasts, and support long-term financial planning initiatives.
  • Management Reporting & Analysis: Deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting, monitor KPIs, and provide executive-level commentary to explain business drivers. Perform financial impact analysis for pricing, promotions, and new product launches.
  • Business Analytics & Commercial Performance: Lead ROI analysis, optimize working capital, and collaborate with local finance partners to ensure financial alignment with business activities. Develop forecasting models to improve accuracy.
  • Process Improvement & Digital Transformation: Streamline financial reporting, automate processes, and contribute to ERP and system implementations to enhance financial decision-making and business performance.
  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure compliance with SOX controls and corporate policies, and support audit activities.

Requirements

  • University Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling (or comparable qualification)
  • At least 7 years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, or Business Partnering, ideally in a multinational environment
  • Strong expertise in Commercial Finance, including sales forecasting, pricing strategies, inventory management, and margin optimization
  • Extensive experience in working capital management, including DSO, inventory levels, and cash flow optimization
  • Advanced skills in Excel and financial modeling; Power BI or VBA automation knowledge is a plus
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to challenge assumptions and provide valuable insights
  • Proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to independently drive projects and initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to drive profitability and influence Commercial P&L performance
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to challenge and influence Commercial teams and senior leadership
  • Excellent prioritization and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables in a dynamic, fast-paced business environment
  • Strong team player with a collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
