The Role

The Purpose of the Role:

12 Month Fixed Term Contract

Through the creation and analysis of the production P&L's, you will support the accurate recording and reporting of retail margin across several entities, while helping to identify opportunities for revenue generation and cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Month-End Close Process: Delivery of month-end close process including posting journals, inter-company transactions, P&L and margin review, Capex review, managing accruals & prepayments.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Building relationships across the wider finance, production, and distribution teams to help deliver robust cost analysis and supporting commentary.
• Reporting: Support in the timely and accurate delivery of insightful reporting.
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring they are all completed to an auditable standard with clear explanations/back-up of balances, and ensuring that any risks or opportunities are identified at the monthly management account reviews.
• P&L Management: Manage and enhance production P&L's and consolidated reports.
• Purchasing Control: Review of purchasing control adherence within the business and engaging teams to drive best practices.
• Efficiency and Control: Responsible for driving efficiency and control in month-end processes, reducing month-end close and reporting timelines.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting process, taking ownership of the planning of specific departments.
• Continuous Improvement: Management and tracking of continuous improvement activity across the network.
• Location: This role is based in Nuneaton, with occasional travel to other H&B locations. We support flexible and hybrid working arrangements with a minimum of 2 days in the office.

The Person

Key Requirements:

• Open to QBE or qualified candidates with 2-3 years' experience in analyst/management accountant roles, preferably within production, manufacturing, or sourcing.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to provide insightful reporting and support key decisions across the function.
• Proficiency in managing the month-end close process.
• Experience in delivering timely and insightful financial reports.
• Ability to interpret financial data and uncover underlying stories in the accounts.
