Position Summary

Here at Nestlé we have a fantastic opportunity for a focused individual to join the Finance team as a Commercial Finance Analyst to support the Sales Co-Pilots in all aspects of customer financial management. This includes providing insight and analysis using SRM tools, supporting and challenging Sales and CDT teams and driving complianceThe role works directly with sales co-pilots and category sales controllers as their main stakeholders.

A day in the life of a Commercial Financne Analyst

This opportunity will provide timely and accurate financial information to the sales teams, the key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead LTA/CIP reviews with the sales co-pilots to ensure improvement in conditionality and pay for performance
  • Work with the sales Co-Pilots to enable year on year improvements
  • Internal and External profitability using standardised tools.
  • Supporting and challenging co-pilots/CBT and the category using SRM tools and by providing customer specific reporting analysis e.g. customer profit reviews.
  • Pre and post evaluation of Trade spend using standardised methodologies enabling Sales Co-pilots/CBTS and Category by providing insight to optimise our return on investment and support preparation for quarterly investment reviews.
  • Prepare external customer presentation and challenges - supporting Sales co -pilots with customer specific requests on an adhoc e.g top to tops , trade terms customer mergers and acquisitions.

As the successful candidate you will be an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual, who has the initiative to provide insight into the overall customer number, to pro-actively identify any issues or risks and work collaboratively with Sales and Commercial Finance. Good communication skills are important to enable financial information to be understood across the team.

A strong team player is essential as well as;
  • Partially/fully qualified accountant
  • Prior experience in accounting/finance function (Commercial Finance of particular relevance)
  • Strong Influencing skills, record of establishing credibility with stakeholders
  • Strong numerical and planning competencies with a good attention to detail
  • Having excellent systems knowledge including advanced Excel functionality (look-ups & pivot tables) and ideally possessing SAP experience
