Responsibilities
- Support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting activities across the business.
- Analyse financial performance, including variance analysis against budget, forecast and prior periods, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
- Produce and deliver accurate month-end reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and outputs support effective decision-making.
- Partner with business stakeholders and senior leaders to provide financial insight and challenge where required.
- Support the annual planning process and ongoing forecasting cycle, helping to drive financial performance and profitability.
- Complete key financial control activities, including balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and management reporting. Experience working within a finance function, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and analysis.
- Management accounting experience, including month-end activities, journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse and interpret financial data.
- Good understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet reporting and finance ledgers.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly.
- Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA or ACA) or equivalent relevant finance qualification is preferred though not essential. Compensation and benefits
- Salary: A competitive salary from £33,520 - £50,280 depending on the experience you can bring,
- We're serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we'll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we'll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that's 7% from you and 13% from us).
- A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
- 34 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
