Resourcery Group is seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst in Wigan to partner with Commercial, Marketing and Transport teams, owning the P&L for transport and overseeing commercial overheads.

The role suits a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA or experienced finance professional aiming for accreditation, with strong data analysis, ERP proficiency and the ability to convey insights to non-finance stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified through CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience.
• Experience as Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, or Commercial Accountant.
• Comfortable with accruals, prepayments and P&L reporting.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly and monthly commercial and operational analysis.
• Review sales, margins and performance variances.
• Identify drivers behind financial performance and translate insights.
• Manage commercial and marketing overheads, including accruals and prepayments.
• Take responsibility for transport fleet P&L.
• Present financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy across ERP and reporting systems.
• Improve and standardise finance processes across sites.
• Support wider finance projects as needed.

Commercial Finance Analyst Part Qualified Wigan Permanent £35-45k

We're recruiting a Commercial Finance Analyst for a successful, well-established manufacturing organisation in Wigan. Working closely with the Commercial, Marketing and Transport teams, you'll provide the financial insight that supports operational and commercial decision-making.

This would suit a part-qualified CIMA/ACCA accountant or an experienced finance professional who has developed through experience and is keen to gain a professional qualification.

As Commercial Finance Analyst, you will act as a finance business partner to key operational stakeholders, taking ownership of commercial and marketing overheads alongside the full P&L for the transport operation.

Responsibilities will include:

• Producing weekly and monthly commercial and operational analysis.
• Reviewing sales, margins and performance variances.
• Identifying the key drivers behind financial performance and translating them into meaningful insight.
• Managing commercial and marketing overheads, including accruals and prepayments.
• Taking responsibility for the transport fleet P&L.
• Presenting financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
• Supporting internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensuring financial and operational data is accurate across the company's ERP and reporting systems.
• Improving and standardising finance processes across different sites.
• Supporting wider finance projects and requirements when needed.

For this Commercial Analyst role,we're looking for someone who is:

• Part-qualified through CIMA or ACCA, or qualified by experience with an ambition to gain accreditation.
• Experienced in a Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, Commercial Accountant or similar role.
• Comfortable working with accruals, prepayments and P&L reporting.
• Confident analysing large datasets and explaining the story behind the numbers.
• Able to build strong relationships with commercial and operational stakeholders.
• Comfortable working at pace within a deadline-driven environment.
• Proactive, ambitious and keen to develop their commercial finance and business-partnering experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production, logistics or another fast-paced operational environment would be particularly beneficial.

The position will involve travel between company sites, so access to your own vehicle will be required.
