Location: Western House, Halifax Road, Bradford / Hybrid Working (one-two office days a week - Bradford)

Work type: Permanent. Full-time, 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for several Finance Insights Analysts to join the team at Kelda and help Yorkshire Water provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Yorkshire Water serves over 5.4 million residents and countless visitors each year, ensuring access to clean, safe drinking water and proper wastewater management. We also look after communities, protect the environment, and plan for Yorkshire's water needs today and in the future. Our industry faces new legislation, significant investments, and changing customer expectations, making this an exciting time to join us. Our Company Secretariat Team plays a key role in planning for these challenges.

As a Finance Insights Analyst, you will drive business performance and improve efficiencies within the finance function, providing business intelligence that enables our finance partners to make informed decisions based on data and enterprise systems.

You will be responsible for delivering cross-business analysis and reporting, acting as a primary interface with Group Financial Control for planning, reporting, and audits. You will also be the main contact for topics like Energy/Electricity analysis, fleet financial partnering, and total cost of acquisition and benefits in procurement processes.

Where you fit in:

As our Commercial Finance Analyst, you will:

  • Perform standardized reporting and forecasting to provide insights to finance teams and support Group Financial Control reporting.
  • Assess and analyze commercial and procurement proposals to support sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct ad hoc data analyses to support business partnering.
  • Contribute to data supply chains to ensure consistent outputs.
  • Continuously improve processes.
  • Maintain and update relevant processes in our management system.

Skills & qualifications needed:

  • Ideally a qualified accountant or studying towards qualification.
  • Experience working with commercial teams on finance approvals.
  • Experience leading finance projects.
  • Experience using data to drive insights and performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Strong numeracy skills.
  • Experience with process control and compliance.
