Commercial Finance Analyst

About the Role

We're seeking a motivated Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team. This role supports the Marketing, Communications, and Commercial functions with data-led insights that drive strategic decision-making, revenue growth, cost efficiency, and profitability.

Reporting to the Commercial Finance Business Partner, you'll collaborate with senior stakeholders and help deliver more agile, informed financial support. The role offers a clear development path toward business partnering.

This is a fast-paced, varied role that requires strong collaboration across the Finance team. You'll play a key part in our journey to build a world-class finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Support planning, forecasting, and commercial reviews.
• Deliver insightful financial analysis to support revenue growth and ROI.
• Build business cases and models for partnerships, campaigns, and initiatives.

Finance Transformation & Visualisation

• Contribute to finance transformation with a focus on data integrity, automation, and insight.
• Design and maintain dashboards using Power BI or similar tools.
• Improve processes with tools like Alteryx.

Reporting & Insight

• Support monthly reporting with variance analysis on revenue, marketing spend, and KPIs.
• Track marketing metrics such as sponsorship ROI and event profitability.
• Assist on IFRS revenue recognition and month-end processes when needed.

Process Improvement & Governance

• Drive efficiency across marketing and commercial finance processes.
• Support internal controls, policy adherence, and audit activities.

Key Skills & Experience

• Part-qualified or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical mindset and commercial awareness.
• Proficient with Excel, Power BI, SQL, or similar tools.
• Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management.
• Proactive, adaptable, and comfortable working under pressure.

Candidate Profile

• Background in marketing finance, commercial analytics, or FP&A.
• Experience in finance transformation or change environments.
• Familiarity with data warehouse systems and reporting accuracy.
• Interest in motorsport, technology, or high-performance environments.
