Brakes have a great opportunity for a Finance Analyst to join our Corporate Commercial Finance Team supporting the commercial team with some of our biggest customers.

Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, this is a key role that will support our Commercial Account Managers in looking after existing customers. You’ll be working closely with colleagues across both Finance & Commercial to provide insight and analysis to support strategic planning and decision making. You can expect to be involved in forecasting, customer reports and monthly review packs providing key accurate insight. The role will provide Business Partner support to management of customers within the Catering sector of the Corporate Finance team with involvement in process improvement, compliance, annual audit and ad-hoc projects

We are offering a hybrid working contract involving at least one day per week in the Ashford office as well as ad-hoc face-to-face meetings as and when required.

Accountabilities

  • Responsible for forecasting/planning and analysing variances to forecasts for key business metrics such as volume, sales, margin, deliveries and key KPIs
  • Liaise with managers to rigorously challenge and question their plan assumptions and KPIs on an on-going basis
  • Responsible for BUR/MPR reporting for Sodexo and assist in preparation of other customers within sector.
  • Weekly/monthly and annual sales, margin and cost forecasting/budgeting
  • Provide insight into projects to include initial evaluation, feedback and ongoing success tracking
  • Reporting and monitoring the division’s key performance indicators and investigating variances to budget or year on year movements
  • A central point of contact for internal customers and stakeholders for finance related queries
  • Ad hoc analysis/guidance/investigation to improve performance to drive performance
  • Work closely with non-finance teams to drive compliance and improvement
  • Provide insight and reporting based on contractual requirements and specifications
  • Support in other areas as needed including ongoing process improvement, compliance, audit and projects

Knowledge, Skills And Competencies

You’ll be a recently qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) currently operating as a Finance Business Partner, Management Account or Finance Analyst, looking to join a global organisation as part of your career development.

We are looking for someone who will drive performance through insight and has the knowledge and confidence to understand trends and results. Strong Excel skills, including experience in financial analysis and modelling are essential. A great opportunity for someone who enjoys working within a commercial setting and is looking to broaden their finance business partnering skills. You will be self-motivated and driven to deliver results and positively influence key stakeholders.
