Job Responsibility

About the Role: To be responsible for driving sales, promoting brand awareness, and executing retail strategies in key assigned travel retail locations. The successful candidate will work closely with global retailers, distributors, and internal teams to develop and implement effective sales programs. The role requires a passion for the wine & spirits industry, an in-depth understanding of the travel retail landscape, and strong relationship-building skills.

  1. Main Responsibilities:
  2. Sales Growth & Target Achievement: Drive sales and revenue in designated travel retail locations, including airports, cruise ships, border stores, and other duty-free outlets. Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies, identify new business opportunities, and expand the distribution of the brand in travel retail channels.
  3. Retailer & Distributor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key travel retail partners, including airport retail managers, duty-free operators, and distributors. Conduct regular visits to key accounts to ensure product availability, visibility, and merchandising standards.
  4. Brand Representation & Promotion: Manage trade marketing budgets including TD&C, promotions, and activations in liaison with the Channel Marketing team. Promote products to travel retail customers through engaging brand experiences and product knowledge. Organize tastings, promotions, and events to boost brand visibility and consumer engagement. Ensure all point-of-sale materials and branding are displayed according to company standards. Recruit and supervise brand ambassadors and event promoters, including sales target allocation, merchandising, stock management, rota arrangements, and commission setup.
  5. Market Insights & Reporting: Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market insights. Monitor competitor activity and market trends in the travel retail sector to identify opportunities and threats. Provide feedback on consumer preferences and purchasing behaviors to inform future product offerings and promotional activities.
  6. Collaboration & Teamwork: Work closely with the Channel Marketing and Brand teams to develop tailored campaigns and promotional strategies for the travel retail channel. Collaborate with other commercial executives and sales teams to share best practices and drive collective growth within the territory. Job Qualification:

About You: Personal Attributes: Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Commercially astute, numerate, and literate. Self-motivated and results-oriented. Highly organized with attention to detail. Ability to thrive in a competitive, target-driven environment. Adaptable and capable of working across different cultures and markets. A passion for the wine & spirits industry is a plus.

Professional Requirements: Degree, preferably in a business-related topic. HND/HNC or equivalent considered. Successful previous experience in the travel retail sector, preferably with premium products and brand management background. Full clean driving license. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
