Job description

Beechfield Brands operate four leading textile accessory brands, supplied to the rebranding, personalisation, and promotional industry. The brands, Beechfield, BagBase, Quadra and Westford Mill are distributed through a network of distribution partners operating throughout Europe.

Beechfield Brands products are ‘Designed for Decoration’ with the aim of easy rebranding, by trade re-processors, such as printers and embroiderers. We currently have over 3000 SKUs and approximately 500 styles across our range of headwear, bags, and accessories.

The Core Purpose of this role

The core purpose of this role is to grow sales through optimising sales opportunities for all our brands. This will be done by employing a mixed push & pull strategy across the supply chain, creating product demand and building overall brand strength. You will represent the customer, internally and represent Beechfield Brands externally whilst exhibiting our core values in your daily work.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Proactively supporting the team in achieving the overall objectives of the Commercial Department.

Promoting a positive image of the company at all times. This representation extends into the periods of travel and working away, encompassing all associated activities whether they be formal, informal, business meetings or social meetings.

Be the principal point of contact to ensure positive outcomes for the customer and Beechfield Brands. Providing local language support, where appropriate, is a key factor in driving successful relationship building and account management.

Meticulous preparation for all pre-planned meetings is essential and expected.

Typical sales growth activities that you will lead include new product ‘sell-ins’, sales performance reviews, arranging events, shows and communication campaigns, product training or creating product sampling opportunities.

Working closely alongside other Commercial Team members to ensure when product training is delivered, to both our customers directly, and their customers, it is to our high standard.

You will maintain the customer account by liaising with our marketing department to ensure proper usage of our assets, with the Sustainability and QC department to ensure any complaints or requests for certifications are handled efficiently, and with the Sales department to ensure any customers logistics, finance and purchasing issues are all addressed.

Play a key role in planning for and executing pre and post-show set up.

Be present at major European trade events and shows, building relationships with key stakeholders and increasing our customer knowledge.

Monitor competitor activity and build networks with other non-competitive brands in the industry for purposes of feeding back market intelligence to the Head of Commercial.

Provide accurate and timely feedback to the Product Development department with all new product ideas, improvements, and any shortfalls of current offerings, as collected from the market.

Qualifications

At least four GCSEs at grades 3 to include English and Math (or equivalent)

Business qualification i. e. NVQ, BTEC or degree in Business Administration of a similar field is desirable.

Fluent in German

Must be willing to travel (up to 30-35+ nights away per year).

Ability to speak other European languages

Industry relevant experience

Event and trade show experience

Commercial and customer facing experience
