Job summary

Howden seeks a proactive Commercial Executive to support insurer and distribution relationships, deliver commercial initiatives, and ensure FCA compliance from Peterborough. The role offers exposure to strategic projects, partner negotiations, and market analysis.

You will assist with onboarding, budgeting, KPI tracking, and cross-functional collaboration across Marketing and Operations to align commercial initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Act as a point of contact for insurers, aggregators, and partners, ensuring timely communication.
• Gather and analyse market data, competitor activity, and pricing trends.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, and internal policies.
• Support budget preparation, forecasts, and KPI tracking.

We’re looking for a proactive Commercial Executive to join our team and provide vital support in managing insurer and distribution relationships, delivering commercial initiatives, and ensuring compliance with FCA regulations. Roles and Responsibilities

• Assist in executing the commercial strategy through day-to-day operations and projects.
• Prepare and maintain reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Support onboarding and management of new distribution partners and capacity providers.
• Act as a point of contact for insurers, aggregators, and partners, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
• Gather and analyse market data, competitor activity, and pricing trends to support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with FCA regulations, GDPR, and internal policies.
• Support budget preparation, forecasts, and KPI tracking.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Marketing and Operations to ensure alignment on commercial initiatives.

About the Candidate

We’re looking for someone organised, analytical, and eager to learn. You’ll have:

• Experience:
  • Experience in insurance, or financial services role (brokerage experience desirable).
  • Exposure to motor and SME insurance products advantageous.
• Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management abilities.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data reporting tools.
