Job summary

Wellington College is seeking a Commercial Events & Lets Co-Ordinator to manage and coordinate various events. We have an exciting opportunity within our Events department who are looking for an enthusiastic Commercial Events & Lets Co-Ordinator.

About The Role

You will join on a Full time, permanent basis (35 hours per week).

Reporting to the Commercial Events & Lets Manager, we are seeking an experienced, organised and highly motivated individual to join our team. You will be responsible for end-to-end management of events, having direct contact with the clients, and being present on event day (s). This is a unique opportunity to showcase your organisational skills and your passion for a variety of events.

Key responsibilities (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):

  • Assist the Commercial Lets Events Manager with the sales, development and management of the commercial lets business
  • Provide events experience and logistical/marketing support to the business
  • Operationally coordinate events as a lead contact for external clients, from quotation and events specification to on-site management, accounting and invoicing
  • Undertake client site visits for all types of events
  • Respond to customer sales enquiries

Person Specification

The Successful Incumbent Must Have

  • Experience in events management oganisation
  • Use of events booking systems
  • Experience of venue sales, including conference and banqueting
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Must be flexible and available to work weekends and Bank Holidays as required
  • Be experienced in using a CRS system (preferably KX)
