Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Estimator for a full-time, office-based role in Gateshead. You will own tenders from enquiry through submission, supporting diverse commercial build projects with strong contract knowledge of JCT D&B and NEC.

The role requires 5–6 years of estimator experience in commercial construction, proficiency with take-offs/BOQ, and use of Viewpoint 4P for documentation and tender packages.

Qualifications

• 5–6 years of estimator experience in commercial construction.
• Independent tender management from enquiry to submission.
• Understanding of JCT Design & Build and NEC contracts.
• Experience using Viewpoint 4P for document management.

Responsibilities

• Tender management: lead and manage tenders from receipt of enquiry to final submission.
• Costing & take-offs: prepare material and labour take-offs and BOQ.
• Contract analysis: apply knowledge of JCT D&B and NEC frameworks.
• Subcontractor & supplier enquiries: obtain, compare and negotiate tenders.
• Document management: use Viewpoint 4P for tender packages and records.
• Handover & team collaboration: coordinate with commercial/operations teams on bid handover.
