Commercial/Domestic Gas Engineer
Birmingham – all local work
£38,000 – £42,000 per annum plus call out and overtime

Are you looking for a mobile engineering job that pays well but keeps you close to home? A role where you can be home for your dinner at 5pm? We have a requirement for a commercial gas engineer, to work in the Birmingham area, carrying out service, maintenance and repairs to commercial plant. This role is working 8am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday.

Our client is a leading Building Services, FM and Construction Firm with longstanding relationships with their customers, low personnel turnover, and other benefits such as career progression, and an annual pay increase.

The main duties and responsibilities of the Commercial Gas Engineer are:

• To undertake heating/combustion maintenance reactive repair works as issued within set time frames to ensure client expectations are met
• To proactively identify and undertake heating/combustion maintenance works (reactive works not yet identified by the client)
• To undertake heating/combustion PPM works, within set time frames to ensure statutory compliance
• To undertake heating/combustion improvement works as required
• Diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant
• To evaluate performance and ensure the proper servicing and maintenance of all plant room equipment
• Maintain the cleanliness of plant rooms, workshops and storage areas
• Carry out on call duties as part of a rota
• To ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary documents / records are maintained

Essential requirements for the role:

• A full driving licence is essential for this role
• To be able to pass a DBS check

On offer is a permanent position, paying up to £38,000 per annum, working 8am – 4.30pm, Monday – Friday (weekly pay with this role). 21 days annual leave plus stats, plenty of overtime, van (for work use only) and fuel card.
