Job Description:

Your new company

My client is a large UK firm and part of an eponymous international network. Recent strategic re-alignment of service lines has led to the firm now going to market in solution groupings, creating a genuine Consulting "ecosystem." Leadership at the top has been led by Advisory Partners, with a long-standing reputation for Corporate Finance and Restructuring services. The firm's top line has doubled, and the next strategic focus is on expanding the Forensic function, which currently emphasizes investigations, fraud advisory, valuations, and private client disputes.

Importantly, the firm is evolving from being primarily an audit/tax firm with some consultancy to a full-fledged consulting firm that also offers audit and tax services. Investment and growth will be aligned with this strategic shift.

Your new role

This is a rare opportunity to significantly impact the UK practice of an internationally recognized brand. The Forensic Disputes area is currently underdeveloped in London, lacking a dedicated practitioner. The firm's streamlined approach facilitates collaboration and business development, with infrastructure already in place—team, FTech, marketing, etc. The forensic and investigation services team comprises around 40 professionals, led by a recently joined ex-Big 4 Partner. There is a "blank slate" to develop the Disputes function according to your strategy.

Your new company

My client is a large UK firm and part of an international network. Its strategic realignment has fostered a genuine consulting ecosystem, with leadership led by Advisory Partners. The firm is renowned for its Corporate Finance and Restructuring services. The firm is transitioning from a traditional audit/tax firm to a comprehensive consulting firm, with investment aligned accordingly.

Your new role

This is a unique chance to make a meaningful impact on a globally recognized brand. The Disputes area is underdeveloped, with no dedicated London-based practitioner. The firm’s infrastructure supports collaboration and growth, with a team of about 40, led by a new ex-Big 4 Partner. There is a "blank slate" to shape the disputes function.

What you'll need to succeed

You should be a UK-based and experienced Disputes practitioner, likely at one of the following levels:

  • A Director aiming for or on the partnership track, experienced in signing reports and being appointed in your own name
  • An experienced Director ready for first-rung Partner status (the firm would promote you at this level)
  • An existing salaried or equity Partner seeking new opportunities to lead and develop a Forensic function, leveraging the firm’s international presence

What you'll get in return

  • A transparent Partnership reward structure
  • Opportunity to build a business independently
  • Recognition of Advisory/Consultancy as a strategic focus
  • Collaboration with experts in other disciplines
  • A globally recognized brand with local presence worldwide
  • Strong brand support without whitespace issues
