THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a talented Managing Associate to join its highly regarded Commercial Disputes team in London. This is a rare opportunity to take on a pivotal role at a crucial stage in your career, working alongside UK and international Partners on complex, high-value disputes for blue-chip clients, public bodies, and high-net-worth individuals across multiple sectors.

You’ll be joining a busy, high-performing, and diverse team with a reputation for excellence in dispute resolution, litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR). THE TEAM

Our client’s Commercial Disputes Group is recognised as a market leader across the UK and internationally. The team is known for its ability to deliver strategic, innovative solutions in high-stakes matters, often acting against major City and Magic Circle firms.

You will work closely with non-contentious colleagues, gaining a deep understanding of clients’ businesses and transactions to deliver advice that makes an impact.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead on complex commercial disputes, litigation, and arbitration matters, often multi-jurisdictional in nature
  • Build and nurture trusted client relationships, with opportunities for business development
  • Collaborate across teams, practice areas, and industry groups to deliver seamless service
  • Contribute to innovation initiatives, including leveraging AI and technology in dispute resolution
  • Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to a culture of knowledge sharing and development
  • Engage in formal training, coaching, and leadership development programmes to support your career progression
ABOUT YOU
  • Have at least 5 years’ PQE gained in private practice, with strong experience in commercial disputes
  • Be client-focused, proactive, and confident in building long-term relationships
  • Be detail-oriented, strategic, and comfortable handling intellectually challenging work
  • Be curious about clients’ businesses, drivers, and priorities, delivering advice with imagination and impact
  • Be a collaborative, supportive team player, committed to mentoring others and contributing to the wider firm
