Job Description:

Oliver Sanderson is engaged with a global listed business in Europe, one of the world’s leading engineering companies. A matrix organization with a strong UK arm, you will help lead as Commercial Director.

The Commercial Director will be part of the senior leadership team, reporting to the regional Managing Director. You will oversee all commercial activities and processes, focusing on maximising profitability and cash control.

Key responsibilities include:

• Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities with robust reporting.
• Delivering profitable contracts and projects.
• Managing cash flow and revenue collection.
• Conducting profit reviews.
• Managing P&L responsibilities.
• Leading, training, and developing the commercial team.
• Providing accurate forecasts and monthly reports.
• Engaging with C-suite and stakeholders.

We seek a strong commercial leader with extensive experience in managing large P&L (~£100M), knowledge of building legislation, financial acumen, and strong negotiation skills. Industry experience in engineering or related sectors, especially in refurb, refit, maintenance, and sustainability within social housing or local authorities, is preferred.
