Commercial Director - Pharmaceuticals - MEA & CEE Partnerships

Our client is an international specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to maintaining access to clinically differentiated, niche medicines in small patient populations.

Their high-impact portfolio treats patients in more than 70 countries.

They are proactive in identifying low volume, difficult-to-manufacture therapeutic products, and late-stage clinical development assets that target rare diseases.

They are seeking a dynamic and motivated Commercial Director who will be responsible for MEA and CEE partnerships, focusing on the existing portfolio and supporting future M&A integration. This role is crucial in defining and implementing strategies that maximize revenue growth, market share, and profitability. Key Activities/Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies in line with company goals and market conditions focused on delivering results for their portfolio with the MEA and CEE partner markets
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and competitive advantages
  • Complete bi-annual profitability review to determine opportunities to improve EBITDA in partner markets
  • Manage partner market purchase orders, ensuring supply chain team have sufficient time to deliver to target
  • Develop annual budget and 5-year plan forecasts with input from the MEA and CEE partner markets
  • Accountable for delivering the MEA and CEE partner market revenue and OPEX targets
  • Ensure efficient allocation of resources and optimal ROI
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including MEA & CEE partner management, medical and finance, maintaining up to date data on sales, customers and market feedback
  • Collaborate with product teams to ensure the successful launch of new products
  • Ensure that all commercial activities comply with industry regulations and legal requirements
  • Contribute towards due diligence assessment of new assets
  • Manage the integration of new assets with partners in MEA and CEE
  • To maintain GxP compliance regulations to ensure that the applicable standards and regulations are adhered at all times

Qualifications/Experience required:

  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on partner management, sales, marketing, or market access or business development
  • Proven track record of managing high-performance partners and delivering results
  • In-depth understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics, including regulatory environments, healthcare systems, and payer landscapes
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization using data to inform and guide the business strategy
  • Strong Agile thinker who can adapt to situations of high-speed change
  • Problem solver who can work through complex issues
